Grounded is a portrait series I developed throughout 2025–2026 that reflects my shift away from high-energy, “larger-than-life” imagery toward something more personal and observational. Instead of treating subjects like superheroes, I focused on everyday people, giving their routines and passions the same level of importance and attention. Using environmental diptychs, each person is shown in both their daily life and in the space that grounds them, revealing a shift in energy, presence, or environment. The project explores how people move between these two versions of themselves, emphasizing that quieter, more honest moments can carry just as much weight as intensity.
